Compare the RAM 1500 to the Competition at
Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM of Seattle

Searching for a truck that's perfect for the worksite might be easy, but when you want to blend that truck into a well-equipped everyday vehicle, that's where the challenge comes in. Not many models offer a full package like the new RAM 1500. Equipped with a package of powerful engine options, capable towing and hauling capacities, and a plethora of amenities, the RAM 1500 climbs to the top of the hill over other similarly-equipped full-size trucks like the Ford F-150 and the Toyota Tacoma. Seattle drivers who need a truck that can handle all walks of life, check out how these trucks compare head to head! We can't wait to show you the benefits of owning a RAM 1500!

RAM 1500 vs Toyota Tacoma

  • Both trucks offer V6 engines, but you need to upgrade on the Toyota Tacoma to access it. The RAM 1500 comes standard with a 3.6-liter Pentastar® V6 that outputs more horsepower and torque than its Toyota rival.
  • The RAM 1500 can also equip a 5.7-liter HEMI® or a 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V6 to improve power and capability for any of your needs. The Toyota Tacoma doesn't offer an engine that competes with either of these options.
  • The RAM truck can tow a maximum of 12,750 pounds while the Tacoma can only manage 6,800 maximum pounds.
  • The RAM 1500 provides a best-in-class standard V6 fuel economy that allows you to go longer in between trips to the gas pump than the Toyota Tacoma can manage with its V6 engine.
  • Drivers who are looking to provide the maximum amount of comfort for their passengers will love the legroom available in the RAM 1500, especially in the rear seats where 45.1 inches of space is available to stretch out. The Toyota Tacoma doesn't come close to offering the same amount.
  • Both trucks offer stellar infotainment systems to explore and use, and each one can utilize Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ to easily integrate your favorite songs and apps. Upgrading trim levels with the Toyota Tacoma unlocks an 8.0-inch touchscreen with navigation while doing the same in a RAM gives you a 12.0-inch screen with Navigation.
  • The RAM 1500 is standard with a Blind Spot Monitoring System with Rear Cross-Path and Trailer Detection. Toyota offers a similar feature, but you need to upgrade to unlock it.

RAM 1500 vs Ford F-150

  • Both trucks offer a variety of V6, V8, and turbo-diesel engines that offer impressive power and capability. However, if you prefer the robust output of a turbo-diesel engine, the RAM 1500 lineup offers more horsepower and pound-feet than Ford's equivalent engine option. It can also tow more, too!
  • The RAM 1500 boasts best-in-class standard V6 fuel economy, so you can spend more time enjoying the open road. You won't find a similar experience when you're driving a Ford F-150.
  • The Ford keeps its rear passengers cozy with plenty of leg space, but it doesn't match up to the RAM's 45.1 inches of maximum rear legroom.
  • The RAM 1500 lineup offers a class-exclusive reconfigurable center console that allows you to stash your items and charge up to five phones at the same time. The Ford F-150 is less suited to meet your needs, and you'll have to make do with the available space.
  • Both the Ford and RAM are equipped with intuitive infotainment touchscreens that can expand up to eight-inches when you upgrade to higher trim levels. However, the RAM 1500 takes your capability a step further with an available 12.0-inch touchscreen - Ford doesn't offer anything that comes close to this amount.
  • While the Ford F-150 does offer the stellar Blind Spot Information System with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, you need to pay more to unlock this feature. The RAM 1500 includes a Blind Spot Monitoring system with every model so you can safely navigate your truck in busy traffic situations.
